ARE WE ON AIR? KIOSK-O-THEQUE - We love it when someone revives a classic — when they deliver a bit of nostalgia, but modernize it just enough to make it feel fresh. Well, that’s exactly what Are We On Air’s kiosk-o-theque did; “it’s a newsstand, it’s a bookstore, it’s a record store, it’s an art gallery, it’s a recording studio — it’s all the things we love” This concept is located across from the Chateau Marmont. WWD calls it “newsstand meets cultural hub” and THR says “this tiny newsstand is the Sunset Strip’s hotspot of the moment.” Podcast host of Are We On Air?, Arman Naféei, created the space and regularly interviews his guests from Gary Vee to Chromeo and David Byrne at the location. And the kiosk hosts cool gatherings for artists like Nadia Cohen, creators and brands like Emma Chamberlain’s Warby Parker collab and Searchlight’s Kinds of Kindness film.
