SXSW CAMPAIGN – We see studios and streamers spend millions of dollars and come up with elaborate and convoluted stunts at SXSW. But sometimes it’s the pure, simple experience, the one that puts fans and movie lovers front and center. The one that feels aligned, that creates the most buzz.

That’s what we saw from The Criterion Closet at SXSW. Celebrating its 40th anniversary, The Criterion Collection sent its mobile closet from NYC to Austin and gave film buffs the special treatment that’s normally reserved for filmmakers, directors and stars! Fans got to tour the closet and pick their favorite films. Each visitor got 3 mins for their closet picks, the cameras rolled and fans walked away with a Polaroid, gift bag and purchased films! Celebrities stopped by, press covered, there was even an engagement!! Their social team put in overtime re-sharing and tagging everyone who went through the experience which only amplified it even more. A piece of advice, check out their social and coverage to see how it’s done!
