RIPLEY (Netflix) - On April 4, fans of Patricia Highsmith’s novel and Anthony Minghella’s big-screen adaptation “The Talented Mr. Ripley” will be excited to see Andrew Scott in the lead role in this new limited series. Look for the network to roll out a big marketing push and for Scott and Dakota Fanning to be doing the press circuit leading up to this highly anticipated premiere.
VANDERPUMP VILLA (Hulu) - On April 1, Lisa Vanderpump is going to give “Emily in Paris” a run for her money. As Hulu puts it, “decadence and debauchery collide” at this French chateau – which is Lisa's specialty. There are a lot of fresh faces / soon-to-be Instagram influencers on the series so we suggest scooping up some interviews with them before the show debuts!
CIVIL WAR (A24) - On April 12, Alex Garland’s dystopian action film, "Civil War," hits theaters. Starring Kirsten Dunst and Nick Offerman, the film follows journalists through a conflict within the United States. In the trailer they are asked “What kind of American are you?” As we head into a heated election year, this film and its concept will likely get a lot of press coverage.
PALEYFEST LA - April 12-20, the best in television comes together for PaleyFest in Los Angeles - from the cast of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” to Stephen Colbert. If you would like a media application for the red carpet, please fill out the form below. Deadline is March 15.

THE BRIGHT SIDE (Podcast)- A new “morning show” podcast format from Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine. This 30-minute daily pod will center around joyful content — and will include thoughtful conversations with experts and celebrity guests. This would be a great pitch for an actress or female filmmaker!
1440 (newsletter) - With over 3 million subscribers, this daily newsletter promises to deliver the news, but edited to be as “unbiased as humanly possible.” This could be an interesting ad target for a drama or historical series.
SHōGUN (FX, Hulu) - Surpassing "The Bear," “Shōgun” has become FX’s biggest Hulu premiere with over 9M views. So, let’s take a deep dive into the stellar PR campaign behind the launch.
The campaign kicked off with a massive :30 Superbowl commercial. The trailer created a huge buzz on social and via press. On Feb 11, FX rolled-out the red carpet for a gorgeous premiere party at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Cast, crew, press and influencers were in attendance. The party was a vibrant Japan-inspired setting. It featured hand-painted Japanese pagodas, 20-foot bonsai trees and hanging lanterns.
Then the network executed a large-scale collaboration with Nobu restaurants and hotels that featured lobby pop-ups, in-room surprises, and show-inspired cocktails. To promote it, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Shōgun producer and actor Hiroyuki Sanada sat down for a YouTube interview.
The network aligned with National Geographic Expeditions for a fan giveaway - a Japan expedition for 2. FX partnered with Japanese influencers to create a wide variety of content videos. Topics covered: kimonos, Japanese candy, travel tips and history lessons. Anna Sawai was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel. Then reviews rolled-in declaring this was the "TV epic you've been waiting for" and "a genuine masterpiece." And to top it all off — a 99% Rotten Tomatoes score! Big congrats to the PR team at FX, Hulu for a beautiful campaign 👏
