As we ramp up to launch, we're focusing on the entertainment industry's brilliant PR campaigns, highlighting noteworthy premieres, and sharing some new media outlets that you should be pitching. If you have an interview opportunity you want to share in our newsletter, submit it via the links below. In this issue, we discuss:

📣 The impressive PR campaigns for “Feud: Capote vs the Swans” and “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”

🚲️ APPLES NEVER FALL (Peacock) The streamer just dropped the first look at "Apples Never Fall" with Annette Bening’s character, Joy, saying, “You can spend a lifetime with someone as a wife or as a mother, but you can never really know who they are.” The series will be available on March 14 and is based on the bestselling novel by powerhouse Liane Moriarty (known for "Big Little Lies" and "Nine Perfect Strangers"), so keep an eye out for a major marketing push and the cast hitting the interview circuit.

🍺 ROAD HOUSE (Prime Video) This past week, we saw the neon movie posters hyping the remake of the cult classic '80s movie, 'Road House.' The original starred Patrick Swayze (obvi), and the latest installment stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Lukas Gage, Conor McGregor, and Austin Post (aka Post Malone). The marketing is likely to heat up as the film was chosen to be the opening night screening at SXSW (March 8-16) and debuts on Prime on March 21.

🦢 FEUD:CAPOTE VS. THE SWANS (FX & Hulu) The cast of this show is swoon-worthy for any publicist, but the team that powered this launch dove head first into the culture and fashion of the '60s and executed a flawless PR campaign. The New York premiere party took place after hours at Bergdorf Goodman's chic 7th-floor restaurant. The iconic fashion venue transformed their storefront windows, and the formal affair was filled with over-the-top florals and live musicians; guests got to browse the costumes from the show and go home with a custom fashion sketch of their own. The A-list cast made appearances on every major talk show, from Demi Moore on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to Naomi Watts and Chloe Sevigny on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and the entire cast had a lovefest on The Drew Barrymore Show. The women posed for a glamorous New York Times feature, Naomi and Tom sat down with Esquire, and FX did a paid partnership with Evan Ross Katz, who Mike White dubbed the 'most valuable hype man in the history of TV.' There was a timely Zac Posen fashion collaboration (given his Gap announcement) for the Black and White Ball that was chronicled in Vogue. And the bow on this campaign was the fabulous Architectural Digest home tour inside Ryan Murphy’s Bel Air home, narrated by all of his stars.

💌 MR. & MRS. SMITH (Prime Video) Hi Hi! So don’t call this a remake. Donald Glover & co took the original film and went in a fresh direction. The show zeroes in on the relationship between Mr. and Mrs., with the billboard taglines reading “Marriage is their most dangerous mission.” The marketing & PR team have been working in overdrive to pull off a high-profile campaign that aligns with the show. What we love about it most is that they featured Donald and Maya together in a majority of the press — from their joint appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to their cover of The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair lie detector tests, Goat Talk on Complex and all of the podcasts and interviews in between. The joint appearances make you fall in love with them and their characters and are further proof of their on-camera chemistry. The campaign started with a premiere party in London at The Curzon Mayfair, to the NY debut at The Weylin in Brooklyn. They collab’d with 3D animator Trevor Carlee on Lego scenes; and this brilliant viral marketing stunt (video below).
